Many men question what should be the sport jackets for warmer seasons? The usual navy blazers might be too warm for my liking. Then it all boils down to two main requirements, colors and fabrics, before knowing which type of jackets to match for Spring and Summer.
Spring and Summer should encompass lighter fabrics and, if possible, the use of light colors and vibrant colors to spice up the jacket for the warmer seasons.
Highly recommended are the seersucker, cotton, and linen jackets which are usually deconstructed and projects a very relaxed finishing.
Seersucker jackets are usually made of light-weight cotton and they have alternating white and blue stripes running down the apparel with a puckered or crumpled finishing. The other colored stripes used are mainly pastels like light green, pink, and yellow.
I have a higher preference for either a cotton or linen jacket. With these fabrics being light and very breathable, it is very suitable for warmer seasons.
Some men might find it a disadvantage that cotton or linen wrinkles easily. However, my opinion, only the finest natural fabrics as such wrinkles this way and the wrinkles projects a very relaxed and casual feel to it.
A choice of cream white or medium blue would set a nice pace for these seasons. In case it is for business casuals, then going back to navy blue would still keep it semi-formal.
