Mens Shoes Spring Summer 2010
Every sharply-dressed man knows that your style is not complete without the right shoes to round out your wardrobe. Men may not traditionally feel they have a lot of options in this arena, but for spring 2010 there's plenty of variety to choose from. The car shoe is a perennial spring favorite but this year the boat shoe is giving it a run for it's money. This preppy style is one of the season's trendiest and can be found in many stores, made by many brands. The high-top pair from Vans offers a youthful version of this style at a lower price point; Gucci does the luxury shoe in multi-colors; and Bally’s shiny leather pair might even pass for a dress shoe in a pinch.

There's a strong streak of '50s fashion for men this season and the shoe department is included. Designers offer an assortment of saddle shoes, Spectator wing-tips, and brogues in two-toned styles. Loake and a runway pair from Giorgio Armani display a good choices for getting dressed up, while saddle shoes from Narrative offer a casual option.

The spring time is the right time to let your winter-weary feet get a little air. If you don't want to go as far as wearing sandals just yet, try a pair of woven shoes. These brown shoes from Dries Van Noten are perfect for shorts; Giorgio Armani gives a dressier option that would look great with a linen suit; and these woven sneakers from Nike may not actually be airy, but they certainly have a fresh spring look.

Slingbacks are the next step toward the leap to sandals, but they let you still keep those toes covered. These runway shoes from Lanvin and Dries Van Noten provide the best of both worlds.

Every season needs a classic style and for spring 2010 patent leather is it. From sneakers to loafers, patent leather lets you dress up or down and always look sharp. Dries Van Noten offers a casual take, while Giorgio Armani and Bottega Veneta give you options for dressing up.

Suede is like the foil to patent leather and this season it, too, is very popular. Most often seen with casual dress, suede is great for adding color and texture to your look. Calvin Klein Collection's grey suede booties go easily with nearly everything. For a little flair there's the multi-colored slide-ons by Louis Vuitton; and the blue Pierre Hardy lace-ups would look good with jeans or slacks.

The green-living trend is in full swing and if you'd like to participate with your fashion, espadrilles are a great start. This style gives leather a rest and is often made from natural plant fabrics. Leather laces give runway versions a luxe look from Hermes and Giorgio Armani, while the pair from Ralph Lauren are all about color.
