Fashion Advice 82
Business Suits for Interview

Question:

Can you please tell me the difference if any between a business and a formal suit. My son is attending an interview and was advised to wear a business suit. thank you for your help.

Answers:

Basically when we define business suit as one that is tailored for working professionals rather than trendy styles (where they add unique designs that make a suit look non-business). Formal suits are defined as those meant for formal evening wears like tuxedos. So I would say business suits that are suitable for your son would be navy, charcoal, or gray suits. Whether to have stripes or check patterns is up to personal preference. But it is advisable that your son goes for subtle stripes or check patterns rather than very well-defined patterns that can show an overpowering feel. This is just my opinion.
