Adding New Colors Into Husband's Wardrobe

Question:

Help! My husband has dark hair, fair complexion and blue eyes.

He has a closet FULL of tan and navy twill pants. Most shirts are shades of blue. Always wears brown shoes and belt.He looks great, but I'm tired of the same "look".

He has a beautiful black leather jacket but wears it with the above mentioned clothing.

How can I introduce other colors, black/charcoal, to blend with his current wardrobe?

Answer:

I think you can start off with the dress shirts to create alternative color schemes to his wardrobe. You can let him try a red or yellow shirt. If he finds them too bright or striking, then you can go for white-based shirts with red or yellow patterns on them which he might probably accept better. Having patterns in your shirts brings out more versatility as well. Not so boring compared to plain colored shirts.

Stop him from wearing the same old leather jacket. Corduroy sports jacket are nice and can give a ruggard look too. Charcoal twill sport coats are another consideration. Once you are able to introduce these 2 changes, switching him to wear pants in black or charcoal would definitely not be difficult.
