Fashion Advice 51 Shirts and Shoes for Wedding in South Africa
Question:
My fiance and I are getting married in Jan in South Africa. Our wedding is a lunch time affair - elegant but casual. Nick has decided to wear a pinstriped navy linen suit. (Single breasted formal Jacket and classic formal pants). What type/colour shirt would you reccomend he wore with it and also what type of shoes?
After reading some of the questions and answers - I like the idea of a classic white shirt with dark brown shoes? But then what type of shoe and also how thin/thick should his belt be?
Answer:
Firstly, for the shirt I would suggest keeping it as the same material as your suit which is linen. It would make the overall look well-coordinated and blended since linen is an unique fabric that wrinkles easily but giving a relax feel and look.
For your shoes, you can still wear leather shoes, maybe try a slip-on. It can still be nicely coordinated against your linen suit and shirt. If you want to continue giving yourself a summer and relaxed look, then probably you can wear your leather shoes without socks.
Keep the belt thin or slim... basically not too thick.
