Ways to Match Blue Sports Jacket

Question:

I am going to a night time semi-casual wedding. What would look nice with my new blue sports coat? I'm looking for color advice on pants shirt and tie. Help.

Answer:

Since it is a semi-casual wedding and you are intending to wear a blue (i assume dark blule) sports coat, then I would greatly suggest completing the blue combination by choosing a lighter shade of blue for your shirt and choose a dark gray pants. For your tie, you can choose a stripe tie with some shades of blue to blend against your sports jacket and shirt.

Otherwise, you can go for a white shirt with charcoal pants. This would be a much easier combination to match.
