Fashion Advice 43
Front Pockets on Polo Shirts
or Pull Overs

Question:

I have purchased some polo style pull over shirts - 3 button. These shirts are very nice, comfortable fit, etc., but their design has a front pocket on the shirt. Is it stylish to have a polo type shirt with a front pocket on it?

Answer:

Generally, I wear my polo shirts and pull overs without a front pocket. Unless you want to create a ruggard look, then the front pocket would be able to reinforce that. If you prefer the clean look then the pockets will definitely be an eyesore. Therefore, the style and look that you like to create is important in determining whether it is stylish. I have also an issue with front pockets on polo shirts and pull overs: the pockets has a tendency to become bigger and warp after a few washing unless they are made of good materials. That is something I don't really like.
