Fashion Advice 38
Dress Shirts with Ties or Without Ties

Question:

Can I wear a tie with a long sleeved button-down shirt with a company logo or should I wear the shirt without a tie?

Answer:

Generally we do not recommend wearing long sleeved dress shirts with tie only. Traditionally, it makes your look very clerical and less professional. You can just wear a shirt without a tie and you might look better that way. If you want a more formal look, then probably you can consider wearing a blazer or sport jacket with your shirt without a tie.

However, due to the hot summer weather and maybe you might not have the preference of wearing a suit jacket, then I would suggest wearing your dress shirt with a tie instead as last resort.
