Flat Front Suit Pants with Cuffs

Question:

I recently purchased a suit with flat front pants. I have never purchased a suit with flat front pants before. When I had the pants tailored I went ahead to have them cuffed. Is it OK to have flat front suit pants with cuffs?

Answer:

It is absolutely acceptable to have your suit pants cuffed. I have a strong preference for flat front pants over pleats for the past 7 years. Flat front pants can look a lot more sleek especially when it is tailored for a slim fit. In actual fact, the worry you should have is whether the cuffed pants is suitable for your height. Generally shorter men are not suited to wear pants with cuffs because it will make them look even shorter. My general observation is men below 5' 7" should not consider wearing cuffed pants. It does not compliment their height.
