Fashion Advice 31 Matching the Right Pants and Shirts Against Blazer
Fashion Advice 31: Choosing the right colored shirts and pants to match against a sand colored blazer?
Question:
My wife gave me a from JoS.A.Bank, suede blazer light sand color. However, it is really very pale 'pink' very light with a more peach tone (In your 'light color chart it is the first 'pink' on the left of the lights.) I want to wear it as an open jacket.
Question: what color, tones, type of trousers would be sharp with this pale pink blazer. What color and type shirts to go with your trousers' recommendation?
Answer:
I have checked through Jos. A. Bank
and I think I know which one your wife bought for you. It's actually a goatsuede blazer if I'm not wrong in sand color, right? It has a slight tinge of pink against a very light brownish color tone.
Ok, this type of color is actually very easy to coordinate. Your choices of colors are actually quite wide. Possible colors are white, cream, light blue, navy, cinnamon, chocolate, or olive are nice.
Your choices of shirt colors are similar as those above. But you would like to keep your shirts lighter tone than your pants. If your pants are light colored like white or cream, then your dress shirts can be coordinated with similar light colors.
A choice of patterned dress shirts with stripes would be a good too. But make sure that your background shirt color is white or light colored.
