Matching Shirts with Plaid Shorts

Fashion Advice 30:
What type of shirts to match with black plaid short?

Question:

I have a pair of black plaid Quicksilver shorts. I have no idea what kind of shirt would go with it. Any tips would help. Thanks alot.

Answer:

You are lucky that it is a pair of black paid shorts. If it is of other more colorful ones, then you would need good fashion sense to coordinate it. In actual fact, you can easily wear any types of polo-shirts with it. Keep it as a plain colored polo shirt with brighter colors like orange or yellow. I have a special liking for green and pink polos of late. My 6-year son also wears plaid shorts this summer and I always let him wear polo shirts with it. It looks very stylish.

If you are intending to wear it with shirts, similar concepts using plain colored shirts would be a good choice whether it is long or short sleeve.
